MICHIGAN CITY — The exhibit “We Are Us: The Human Condition” continues through Feb. 24 at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts, 101 W. 2nd St.

Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) has announced the upcoming fall exhibition, We Are Us: The Human Condition, which will be on display from Oct. 29, 2022, through Feb. 24, 2023. 

In early August, Beijing-based artist Li Songsong’s abstract oil painting Six Men (2008), which resembles a photo showing Japanese Kamikaze pilots during the Second World War, was taken down from display at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing after being reported by an unnamed viewer.

Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) has announced its lineup for 2022-2023. 

Liu blends the idealistic, Socialist Realism style of the Mao era with the tragic realities of the period in a style dubbed “weeping realism.”

"Remember This: Hung Liu at Trillium" at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon showcases a suite of hybrid prints and paintings. The exhibition is equally an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the artist's remarkable career.

In “Remember This: Hung Liu at Trillium” in the JSMA's Barker and Soreng galleries, renowned contemporary Chinese-American artist Hung Liu explored subjects ranging from portraits to landscapes to still lifes and reflects upon history, memory, tradition, migration, and social justice.
