Issues related to the environment are often in the news, but perhaps not often enough at top-of-mind. In a multi-faceted exhibition on view through May 1, 2022 at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, a special showcase offers a thought-provoking exploration of important ideas related to environmental beauty and fragility. 

A new group exhibition presented by UC Santa Cruz Institute of the Arts and Sciences (IAS) and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History (MAH), features contemporary artworks by some of today’s leading artists, from Kehinde Wiley to Hung Liu, drawn from one of the most important post-war and contemporary art collections in the country. 

Diehl Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming, held a solo exhibition by JenMarie Zeleznak titled “These Dialogue Stars.” This is Zeleznak’s first solo show in Jackson Hole.

A sprawling exhibition of work by the late Chinese American artist Hung Liu at the Schnitzer Museum

On, February 5, 2022, the University of Oregon’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon will open the “Remember This: Hung Liu at Trillium” in the museum’s Barker and Soreng galleries. In this exhibition, renowned contemporary Chinese-American artist Hung Liu explored subjects ranging from portraits to landscapes to still lifes and reflects upon history, memory, tradition, migration, and social justice.

Artist JenMarie Zeleznak explores the idea of emotional fluidity between the human and animal worlds. Her work uses the expressions and actions of wild creatures — foxes, coyotes, mountain lions and bears — to explore her own passionate nature and feelings.
